Brief Description of the Poultry Farm
GBR Hatcheries (PVT) LTD, Nambur is located approximately at around 2 km from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. The hatchery unit of GBR poultry accommodates modern infrastructure facilities for hatching purpose. Students visiting the place could able to understand the operational and managerial practices followed for poultry egg incubation, hatching, feeding, vaccination and other managerial practices.
Both traditional and modern infrastructure facilities for incubation have been equipped in the hatchery, students could able to distinguish and grasp various features of the same. Different vaccines which were administering to the chicks were also observed. In addition, students could able to learn handling procedures, post incubation of the eggs. The location of the poultry farm is near to the local inhabitants, therefore, providing employment opportunities for the skilled persons. Overall, varied technical and managerial practices in the hatcheries have been intrinsically observed and analyzed for holistic understanding of the poultry management.

Students got enriched with practical exposure and has learnt operational mechanism of poultry processes. Students could able to understand the working process of hatcheries, its devices and vaccination process. Apart from the working process, students also equipped with different challenges associated poultry operations.
