On February 13, 2025, the students of the Department of Zoology, Andhra Loyola College, had the privilege of attending an enlightening guest lecture on Biodiversity Conservation and Research, delivered by Mr. Leela Prasad Nadendla. With a deep passion for wildlife and years of experience in the field, Mr. Nadendla captivated the audience with his knowledge, personal experiences, and career insights in biodiversity conservation.

Discussion on Forests and Biodiversity

Mr. Nadendla began the session by emphasizing the importance of biodiversity in sustaining ecological balance. He vividly described various types of forests, including tropical rainforests, deciduous forests, mangroves, and alpine forests, explaining their unique biodiversity and the threats they face due to human activities. His narration of personal encounters with wildlife in these forests added a layer of excitement to the discussion.
