INDUSTRILA VISIT to A B C Veeravalli Semen bank and Boayapati Dairy Farm.
Brief report on the activity:
The department of Zoology had organized a INDUSTRIAL VISIT to A B C Veeravalli Semen bank, Telaprolu and Boayapati Dairy Farm. for Dairy Housing systems and in presence of Senior faculty member Sri. Ravi Shankar sir and HOD, Sandhya sri accompained the students
A total of 27 students visited
“A B C Veeravalli Semen bank ” with the help of autos. Where studetns witnessed the entire process of semen collection, different types of breeds, semen preservation and procedure involved. In the bank studetns got an opportunity to see the different types breeds of bulls such as Murrah, HF , Jersey , Sahiwal , Red Sindhi , Gir and some other cross breeds too . At the farm they witnessed real-time experience of artificial vagina method.
Then proceeded to our second destination, Boayapati Dairy Farm, Ramavarappadu, Vijayawada to gain knowledge of open housing system and conventional barn. They observed all the essential requirements for housing and different sheds like calf pen ,milking barn, open paddock with buffaloes ,storage room and conventional barn in construction .
