Details of the Activity: The Department of Biotechnology & Zoology in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC), organized a National Level Workshop on DNA FINGERPRINTING & IN-SILICO DESIGNING OF PRIMERS from 15th to 16th February 2024. Dr. Kondapalli Kasturi, Assistant Professor in Acharya Nagarjuna University, Dr. Anil Annamneedi, Assistant Professor in SRM University Chennai, Dr. Krishna, Product Manager, GeNei Laboratories Pvt Ltd, Bangalore acted as the resource persons in the workshop and trained the students with the required laboratory techniques. About 120 students from Zoology and Biotechnology background were trained on techniques of DNA Fingerprinting and advanced dry lab tools of primer designing. The convenor of the program Sri.K.RaviSankar, Senior faculty of the Zoology department, introduced the theme of the Workshop. The proceedings of the workshop were introduced by the organising secretary and ended with a formal Vote of Thanks by the organising secretaries Mrs. T. Sandhya Sri and Mrs.S.Srilakshmi

Feedback/impression: The students were given insights into the various workshops and certifications offered by the industry that impart practical training exposure and clinical skill development to advance in the field of Clinical Research.
