  Brief Description of the Poultry Farm GBR Hatcheries (PVT) LTD, Nambur is located approximately at around 2 km from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. The hatchery unit of GBR poultry accommodates modern infrastructure facilities for hatching purpose. Students visiting the place could able to understand the operational and managerial practices followed for poultry egg incubation, hatching, feeding, vaccination and other managerial practices.  Both traditional and modern infrastructure facilities for incubation have been equipped in the hatchery, students could able to distinguish and grasp various features of the same. Different vaccines which were administering to the chicks were also observed. In addition, students could able to learn handling procedures, post incubation of the eggs. Details of the Activity: The Department of Biotechnology & Zoology in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Workshop on “ Insilico Primer Designing for Molecular Techniques” on 19 th and 20 th February 2025.  Dr. K. Kasturi, Assistant Professor in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur handled the sessions on concepts of primer designing, demonstration of various steps involved in primer designing.   Report on Guest Lecture: Biodiversity Conservation and Research On February 13, 2025, the students of the Department of Zoology, Andhra Loyola College , had the privilege of attending an enlightening guest lecture on Biodiversity Conservation and Research , delivered by Mr. Leela Prasad Nadendla . With a deep passion for wildlife and years of experience in the field, Mr. Nadendla captivated the audience with his knowledge, personal experiences, and career insights in biodiversity conservation. Discussion on Forests and Biodiversity Mr. Nadendla began the session by emphasizing the importance of biodiversity in sustaining ecological balance. He vividly described various types of forests, including tropical rainforests, deciduous forests, mangroves, and alpine forests , explaining their unique biodiversity and the threats they face due to human activities.
